{Spider-Man Cookies} For My Little Guy

Spider-Man was the theme of Little Guy’s birthday this year. He can now open a small Spider-Man boutique after receiving enough red, black, and white to last him through middle school. Based on my child’s limited exposure to actual Spider-man episodes, it’s amazing how much excitement he has over this web spinning character. He has seen a few of the old Spider-man shows you can watch on Netflix, but he no longer watches the more current Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. It was a wee bit mature for my definition of “kid friendly.” My mom found a small Spider-man figurine (the word “figurine” feels wrong here) at the dollar store and gave it to him a few weeks ago. He held on to it like it was his best friend and slept with it for several nights. But now that the birthday party has come and gone, he thankfully has more than one Spider-man toy to choose from. I couldn’t wait to get these cookies out of my head and onto a platter. That’s the weirdest sentence I have uttered in awhile. My favorite cookie turned out to be the Green Goblin. He was a last minute decision, rooted in my disappointment over my head to toe Goblin. A bust version of the Goblin made me much happier than the full-body version. (weirder sentences are possible after all).
